Roofing a House

1. Site Evaluation & Design Planning
We assess your building structure to determine the best pitch and design for the gable roof. Factors such as wind load, water drainage, and overall aesthetics are taken into account.

2. Hand-Cutting the Timber Framework
Every component, including ridge beams, rafters, and purlins, is measured and cut by hand to ensure precision and durability. This allows for adjustments based on the building’s unique dimensions.

3. Frame Assembly & Structural Reinforcement
The roof structure is assembled with reinforced joints to ensure strength and stability. Cross-bracing and additional supports are added where needed to withstand high winds and heavy loads.

4. Roof Sheathing & Insulation
Once the main framework is complete, we install a layer of roof sheathing (plywood or OSB) followed by waterproof membranes and insulation to enhance durability and energy efficiency.

5. Roof Covering Installation
The chosen roofing material—tiles, slates, or metal sheets—is installed, ensuring proper alignment and weatherproofing. Additional elements such as ridge caps and overhangs are included for added protection.

6. Final Touches & Quality Checks
The final step includes installing fascia's, soffits, and guttering, as well as performing a detailed inspection to ensure structural integrity, water drainage efficiency, and aesthetic quality.
