Our Range - Our Cut & Pitched Roof Process
cut & pitched roofs

1. Consultation & Planning
We begin by reviewing your project requirements, architectural plans, and structural needs. This stage is crucial in determining the pitch, load-bearing capacity, and overall design of the roof. Whether it’s a simple pitched roof or a more intricate design, we ensure the right approach is taken from the start.
2. Material Selection
High-quality timber is sourced based on the project’s specifications. The choice of wood will depend on factors such as durability, load capacity, and environmental conditions. We ensure that all timber is treated for longevity and structural integrity.
3. On-Site Measuring & Cutting
Unlike prefabricated trusses, all rafters, ridge beams, and purlins are measured, marked, and cut by hand on-site to ensure a precise fit. This method allows us to adjust the roof structure in real-time, accommodating any variations in the building.
4. Frame Assembly & Installation
The roof structure is assembled piece by piece, starting with the main framework, followed by rafters and purlins. Each connection is carefully crafted to ensure strength, proper load distribution, and alignment with the rest of the structure.
5. Structural Integrity Check
Before proceeding to the final covering, we conduct thorough structural checks. We ensure that all timbers are properly secured, reinforcements are added where necessary, and the roof is built to withstand weather conditions and structural loads.
6. Roof Covering & Finishing
The final step is installing the roof covering—whether it’s tiles, slates, or another material—along with essential details such as fascia's, soffits, and guttering. This completes the roofing system, providing protection and enhancing the building’s aesthetic appeal.
